Welcome to Maine!

We are so excited to share this incredibly special state with all of you! In a small town of 3,000, there aren’t many options but read below as we steer you in the right direction.

Things to Do

  • Grab some sun! Head to Gooch’s, Gooserocks, and Parson’s Beach and enjoy a quintessential New England beach day (just be sure to check the tides!)
  • Explore the coast of Maine. Grab a boat, kayak, or canoe rental from Kennebunkport Marina and keep your eye out for seals.
  • Cruise around town. Many of the local hotels have bikes available for guests. Cycle into the port and grab a bite, or ‘take the scenic route’ and swing by the Bush Compound for breathtaking views.

Dining

Sure, Yelp is great, but check out Aisling and Joel’s recommendations below for a local opinion. If you’ve got a car and don’t mind the drive, head up to Portland for award-winning restaurants on every corner.

BREAKFAST

  • Mornings in Paris – great for coffees and pastries. Bonus, grab a table outside for some people watching
  • Live Cafe – a new, much-loved spot for smoothies, sandwiches, and everything in between
  • Fia Fia – smoothies, acai bowls, and toasts
  • Mike’s All Day Breakfast – a town staple for full belly breakfast

LUNCH

  • The Clam Shack – don’t miss their award-winning lobster roll
  • Pedro’s – can’t miss spot for chips, guac, and cocktails
  • Batson River – fun spot on the hill. Great for a late lunch or dinner
  • Nunan’s Lobster Hut – locally owned and operated, best lobster in town
  • Chowder House – can’t beat for fried seafood and lobster rolls overlooking Cape Porpoise
